Roy Harverson

Roy is the club's Chief Instructor and has been one of our instructors for the last twelve years.

He commenced training with the Reading SKC Jan 1984. Since then he has trained at many clubs and with many other Senseis. 

Roy has regularly attended National courses run by Senseis Enoeda, Ohta and other top Japanese Senseis. He has competed in Kata & Kumite in local and national competitions. Earlier he trained and participated in many events run by the former EKGB and MAC organisations.

Roy is graded to 4th Dan and holds a JKA Coaching license, International Instructor license grade D and Referee License grade D.

Pete Clapham

Pete started Karate training at the of 12 in Manchester with the KUGB and over the years attended numerous national courses across the north west.

He moved south in 1985, when he first met Sensei Roy, and has trained for the last 20 years with the JKAE.

He is graded to 3rd Dan and holds a JKA Coaching Licence.
